Position Details: Title: Senior Multi-Omics Data Analyst Position Type: 2 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need Job Location: Cambridge, MA Shift: 1st Benefits: 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance Compensation: $82/HR Overview: The Precision Genetics group within the Data and Genome Sciences department is seeking a skilled contractor to join our Computational Precision Immunology team. This role is ideal for a data scientist with extensive experience in multi-modal and multi-scale data analyses, particularly in the context of multi-omics research. Key Responsibilities: • Data Acquisition: Query external databases (e.g., PubMed, Gene Expression Omnibus, ArrayExpress, gnomAD, GTEx, Ensembl) to acquire relevant multi-omics datasets. • RNA-seq Analysis: Conduct QC and analysis of both bulk and single-cell RNA-seq data using tools such as FastQC, STAR, Limma, DESeq2, clusterProfiler, Seurat, scanpy, and LeafCutter. • Multi-Omics Analysis: Analyze various molecular data types, including spatial transcriptomics (e.g., Slide-seq, MERFISH, squidpy) and proteomics (e.g., OLINK, mass spectrometry-based methods). • Data Integration: Integrate gene/protein expression, mRNA splicing, spatial transcriptomics, and genotype data to generate meaningful biological insights. • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all analysis methods and results in a timely and organized manner. Key Skills: • Multi-omics data analysis and integration • Transcriptomics and single-cell RNA-seq analysis • Proficiency in R and Bash scripting • Experience with HPC systems and AWS Cloud Computing (e.g., IAM, S3) Qualifications Required: • Ph.D. in Computational Biology or a related field • 3+ years of experience in multi-omics analysis • Strong foundation in statistical methods and omics data integration (RNA-Seq, single-cell RNA-Seq, genotype, spatial transcriptomics, OLINK) • Proficient in R, Python, and Bash, with emphasis on reproducible data analysis • Hands-on experience with HPC systems and AWS Cloud (IAM, S3) • Collaborative, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred: • Experience with real-world data analysis • Familiarity with spatial transcriptomics • Understanding of statistical and population genetics principles www.onboardusa.com Apply Today!
