Full Description

Our customer is seeking a Mid-Level Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) Engineer to provide database engineering and administration for Microsoft SQL Server environments. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing SQL clusters to support secure, high-performing enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server clusters for enterprise workloads. Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and reliability. Configure SQL instances, access control, and encryption per best practices. Collaborate with infrastructure and backup teams to align with mission requirements. Troubleshoot database issues, perform recovery, and ensure compliance with standards. Support hybrid integrations with Azure SQL and AWS RDS. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration and engineering. Minimum 3 years of Federal or DoD experience. Expertise with SQL Server 2016/2019, clustering, and RedGate SQL Monitor. Strong knowledge of database encryption, security, and performance tuning. Windows Server administration and backup/recovery experience. Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate certification preferred. Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).
