Description Program Manager A Salary: $50,328 - $67,716* annually Classification: Classified Staff Reports to: Resource Center Director This is a grant-funded position with a 12-month contract, subject to change based on funding availability. Olympic College is recruiting to fill a Program Manager A position for the Resource Center. The Resource Center is a high-volume environment, serving students in a variety of ways. This position supports students, the Resource Center Director, and the Basic Needs Navigator in managing the Hunger Free Campus Initiative, Resource Center grants, and a book lending library. This position mitigates barriers of financial hardship for students struggling with basic needs through specific programming. Supporting students with compassion, understanding, and tangible resources that help to ensure their educational success. Essential Functions • Project Management: Facilitate the free food programs on all three campuses and the Olympic College pantry to ensure appropriate operations. • Serve as the initial point of contact for the Resource Center, assisting students with general inquiries and connecting them to appropriate personnel and/or resources. • Support Resource Center grant participants through enrollment and persistence by coordinating required WSAC support activities, maintaining consistent communication with participants, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and tracking specialized funding to identify and report discrepancies. • Direct the operations of a free book lending library and laptop lending programs. • Perform related duties as required. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications • High school graduate or equivalent with two years of full-time clerical experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Qualifications • Demonstrate strong organizational skills; • Customer service experience • Be comfortable with computers and flexible environments; • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment with multiple distractions • Demonstrate proficient computer skills and use of software/programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); • Work independently and as a member of a collaborative team with diverse students, faculty, staff, and community members; • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; • A successful candidate will have knowledge of working with different socioeconomic backgrounds. • Experience working with grants preferred. Additional Information Terms of Employment Please note that we are unable to sponsor visas for this position. Only candidates who are currently authorized to work in the United States will be considered. This is a full-time classified position scheduled to work 40 hours a week, with a salary range of $50,328 - $67,716* annually. All classified positions will start their salary at Step A. When you have completed six months of probation, you will receive a 5 percent pay increase. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Association (WPEA) Union.
