THE ROLE: SALES DIRECTOR - TARGET The Sales Director will serve as a key member of our team and will be an important “face of the WBC brands” to our very strategic customer – Target. This person will work cross-functionally to develop holistic business plans including innovation, merchandising, and promotions to drive continued growth. Opportunities for new experiences to demonstrate leadership and growth are limitless. This role will report to our Sr. Sales Director Team Lead for Target. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead sales efforts at Target & Ulta as well as any other customers/brands as identified by Sales leadership Collaborate with our customers to ensure true partnership spirit Strategically and profitably create and execute annual business plans at all accounts Be the “execution arm” of the WBC and bring our plans to life at retail Penetrate all levels of management at our customers. Build strong relationships. Plan and execute profitable, “on-strategy” annual promotion plans Manage JBP partnership for WBC at Target and lead shipment forecasting and reduced revenue planning. Help train and develop your associate-level teammate, as their line manager, as you both work towards the common goal of driving the business with an owner’s mentality Articulate the WBC’s Collective’s unique positioning to deliver overall growth Live our team values of BE YOURSELF, BE DISRUPTIVE, BE PASSIONATE, BE SUPPORTIVE and make life better for all of us! CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED 10-15 years of experience in CPG Sales and/or Retail Merchant/Buyer with a proven track record of success working with Target A deep knowledge and sales experience in working with Target Deep understanding of Target financials & JBP needed Entrepreneurial spirit, tenacity, dependability, integrity, and innovative sensibility Ability to influence cross-functionally and build capabilities for the entire company Personally and professionally motivated to deliver results and get things done Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability Ability to use data (IRI, Nielsen, Greenfield, etc.) to story-tell around opportunities in the business and create solutions that add value to both our brands & retailer partners Understanding and expertise to navigate Target’s systems (Greenfield, SBP, etc.) Solid negotiation skills in ”getting to yes” with retail partners Energized and passionate about building a transformational brand in today’s marketplace A true “Team Player” who can work cross-functionally to achieve results WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS Initial video screen and interview with the Hiring Manager Round 1: 1-2 conversations with other team members Round 2: 1-2 conversations with team or cross-functional partners Final Round: Homework* *Our final round is called Homework. The salary range for this position is $138,480 - $207,720 dependent on experience and location.
