Full Description

My client, a respected global asset management firm is looking for an Accountant to join their expanding team. Our client is based out of midtown New York City, has a hybrid schedule, and offers tremendous growth within the firm. Key Responsibilities • Own monthly reporting, including balance sheet, income statement analytics, expense trends, and earnings attribution. • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures for quarterly and annual reports. • Assist with quarter-end public earnings presentations and press releases. • Handle covenant reporting to lending counterparties. • Contribute to board deliverables and special projects. • Gain hands-on experience in REIT compliance and preparation of tax workpapers. • Liaise with Operations, Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Portfolio Management teams. • Coordinate with internal/external auditors for timely completion of audits and SOX 404 compliance. • Support the financial model used for earnings projections and dividends. • Analyze complex transactions and prepare technical accounting memos. Qualifications • 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a publicly listed financial services company. • Bachelor's in Accounting; Master's degree preferred. • Active CPA license. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
