About the Position Oliver Bell Group is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Medical Analyst to support our attorneys in complex injury, medical device, and medical malpractice matters. This role is ideal for a medical professional who excels at reviewing clinical information, identifying key facts, and translating medical data into clear, actionable insights for a legal team. Key Responsibilities - Review and analyze medical records, diagnostic reports, billing records, and treatment histories for litigation and pre-litigation matters. - Prepare written medical summaries and case chronologies that highlight clinically relevant findings, causation elements, comorbidities, and treatment progressions. - Draft recommendations and case assessments for attorneys, offering insights into standard of care issues, potential causation arguments, medical strengths/weaknesses, and anticipated expert needs. - Identify missing records and advise attorneys regarding additional information required to strengthen the medical foundation of the case. - Communicate with attorneys to clarify medical issues, assist with strategy, and support case development from intake through resolution. - Assist in preparing attorney questions for expert witnesses, including identifying areas needing medical clarification. - Maintain organized medical files and ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation. Required Qualifications - Strong Background in a clinical or medical field (DO, MD, RN, PA, NP, EMT-P or other relevant medical/health science training). Both education and experience valued. - Strong ability to interpret medical terminology, anatomy, diagnostic imaging, and clinical treatment plans. - Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to present complex medical concepts in a clear, concise, attorney-friendly manner. - High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. - Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with attorneys and staff. - Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard office software. Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience in a law firm, insurance claims environment, or medical-legal setting. - Experience creating case timelines, reviewing large sets of medical records, or preparing expert-ready medical summaries. - Knowledge of personal injury, medical malpractice, or product liability litigation workflows.
