About the role We're hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to build the interfaces our customers and experts use every day. You'll spend most of your time on our core product, and you'll also help shape our marketing site. You'll have real influence over how the product looks, feels, and behaves, and over the technical decisions that shape how we build on the front end. We're looking for an engineer who cares about user experience as much as code. You have a real eye for polish and interaction detail, you sweat the small things that make an interface feel effortless, and you partner naturally with design and product to get there. We build with AI coding tools, and we want someone who's leaning into them, using them to prototype, iterate, and ship faster without compromising on craft. What you'll do Build and ship customer-facing features in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, in close partnership with design and product, going into the API layer where it helps you ship Own the quality of the front end, including performance, accessibility, and responsive behavior across devices Extend and maintain our component patterns so the product stays consistent as it grows Use AI coding tools to prototype and ship quickly, raising both velocity and quality Contribute to our marketing site, building pages that are fast, polished, and hold up well in search Help establish the standards, tooling, and practices for frontend as we grow the team What you bring You have 5+ years building and shipping production web applications, with deep React and TypeScript experience You're passionately product-minded, and you can channel a user's perspective into the decisions you make in the interface You have an uncompromising eye for detail, and treat typography, spacing, motion, and micro-interactions as part of your craft You're comfortable owning frontend quality, including performance, accessibility, and behavior across screen sizes You embrace AI coding tools and use them to move faster without sacrificing craft You communicate well with designers, product, and engineers, and can balance tradeoffs to get things shipped Tech Stack Front end: TypeScript, React, Next.js (Pages Router), Tailwind, shadcn/ui Data and forms: SWR, Zod, react-hook-form Testing and tooling: Storybook, Jest, Turborepo Workflow: GitHub, Slack, Notion, Figma, Linear Back end: Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, OpenSearch, Temporal Bonus Points Experience building and maintaining a design system or component library Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex Experience with data-heavy interfaces, complex tables, or admin tooling Experience with motion and animation, or with high-performing marketing sites Work samples or a portfolio you're proud of Our Benefits Competitive salary & stock options Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage $100 monthly fitness stipend Flexible vacation time, regular company holidays Company retreats (Tahoe, San Diego, Mendocino, Mexico City) Parent-friendly, remote work, and paid family leave More about us Office Hours was founded in 2020. Pay Transparency Notice Full-time offers from Office Hours also include target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
