We are seeking an experienced Word Processor to join our Charlotte office. This role provides high-level document production support with a strong emphasis on document automation for complex transactional matters. Key Responsibilities • Prepare, edit, and format a wide range of legal transactional documents, including loan agreements, closing binders, and financing documents • Design, update, and maintain automated document templates using Microsoft Word and related platforms • Partner with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to implement automation solutions that streamline workflow and improve efficiency • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all data security standards • Proofread documents for grammar, typography, consistency, and formatting accuracy • Troubleshoot document-related issues and provide technical support as needed Qualifications • Experience in a legal environment, ideally within real estate finance or transactional law • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including track changes, advanced formatting, and template creation • Hands-on experience with Contract Express, HotDocs, or similar document automation tools • Familiarity with document management systems (NetDocuments preferred) • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines in a high-volume setting • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently or collaboratively • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to evolving workflows
