Position: Direct Care Staff Role Overview:The Direct Care Staff at our Residential Home plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. You will work closely with multiple clients, assisting them with their daily needs, transportation, grooming, meal preparation, and medication management. Your commitment to providing exceptional care and your proactive approach to meeting residents' requirements will contribute to creating a supportive and enriching living environment. Responsibilities: • Provide direct care and support to residents, fostering a safe and nurturing atmosphere. • Transport residents to and from Day Habilitation (Day HAB) centers in the morning and afternoon using your own vehicle. • Assist residents with grooming, hygiene, and daily routines to promote their independence and dignity. • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated. • Administer and document residents' medications accurately and as prescribed. • Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming living environment. • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions that enhance their quality of life. • Remain attentive to residents' emotional and physical well-being, promptly addressing any concerns. • Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the security of residents. Qualifications: • Reliable Vehicle: Own a reliable vehicle in good working condition • Valid driver's license. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience in caregiving or direct support is a plus. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs. • Detail-oriented with the ability to document accurately. • Flexible availability to work varied shifts and weekends. • Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
