The Credit Reporting Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing Octane's CDIA-compliant Metro2 reporting program and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant credit reporting to Credit Reporting Agencies (CRAs). This individual will own related policies, procedures, and process documentation, as well as lead a dispute management team. The role requires deep expertise in FCRA compliance, credit reporting operations, and enterprise-level dispute management, with a focus on scalability, accuracy, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will work hybrid in our Irving office. We will consider remote candidates for this role. Specifically, you will: • Own the policies, procedures, process flow chart, and other documents that comprise Octane's CDIA compliant Metro2 reporting program • Maintain and improve Octane's credit reporting standards and practices, based on dispute trends, regulatory and CDIA update guidance • Own the creation, submission, and audit of Octane's Metro2 Data Files to all four major CRAs, including data review and filtering/scrubbing of un-needed data before submission • Lead root cause analysis to identify and correct errors in data furnishing processes prior to reporting including data integrity checks, error resolutions, and dispute management • Develop scalable workflows and controls to ensure quality and consistency • Manage a team of dispute analysts, to include ensuring dispute response SLAs are maintained, set performance goals, provide coaching and feedback, and ensure professional development for team members • Conduct periodic audits of Octane's Metro2 files and data furnishing processes to ensure accuracy of transmitted data • Coordinate with technical teams to manage system and process development to ensure continued compliance with credit reporting requirements • Act as a resident expert in FCRA compliance and the various rules and requirements related to credit reporting and disputes • Oversee key monthly Disputes, BK Watch, and Deceased Scan processes • Inventory ongoing issues for continuous improvement in processes, and data updates • Request and support related efficiency and /or compliance projects as needed Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree followed by 7+ years of professional experience in at a Consumer Lending centric organization • 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role • 2+ years managing Line of Business process requirements for monthly FCRA file transmission • Demonstrable experience working with credit bureau disputes and FCRA Compliance including enterprise level process management and oversight of related functions • Experience working with consumer financial laws and regulations including but not limited to FCRA, UDAAP, FDCPA, ECOA, TCPA, TILA, etc. • Experience managing the eOscar dispute platform at an enterprise level • Strong understanding of the governing principles of consumer loan underwriting, servicing, and collections • Ability to think critically and analyze large data sets for adherence to established criteria • Ability to manage a process with minimal managerial oversight, including adherence to critical regulator mandated deadlines • Ability to manage a team with ownership of multiple work queues with constant ticket volume, while also supporting other critical tasks • Ability to quickly adapt to changing processes, software, and guidelines Compensation The role described above offers a base salary of $90,000 to $110,000. Your offer will be based on the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job, location, and internal equity.
