The Job Details are as follows: This position is primarily responsible for organizational support of project management. Additional work in the areas of performance management and process management will include consultative assignments. Oversee large complex corporate projects including those involving Enterprise infrastructure projects, regional service providers, regional OCLC sites and several internal OCLC organizations. Direct development efforts to improve the skills of the enterprise in executing projects. Define key competencies for the project management and sponsor roles. Oversee and continuously improve the project performance measurement system. Team with Organizational Development & Learning to develop and maintain an effective project management curriculum. Responsibilities Project Management Oversee complex corporate projects and initiatives. Develop strategies for directing projects that deliver desired results, on time and on budget. Project Leadership Organizational support of project management and sponsorship to improve the performance of the enterprise in executing projects. Oversees the project management best practices and procedures across the enterprise. Mentors project managers throughout the organization. Continuously improving the project management methodologies in the organization. Defining key competencies for the project management and sponsor roles. Developing and continuously improving the project performance measurement system. Performance Improvement Work with peer managers in the identification, assessment, planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of corporate-wide organization development and improvement initiatives around project management. Consult with senior management to identify and solve organization performance issues to support attainment of OCLC’s strategic goals and objectives. Qualifications Minimum Required Bachelors’ degree & MBA or equivalent work experience. 7-10 years of project management experience for complex projects – including experience in multiple organizations and/or environments. Project experience should span the areas of technology projects and organizational development projects including process improvement and performance management projects. Knowledge of, and experience implementing, multiple project management methodologies and tools. Well versed with the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Understands and exemplifies effective personal and organizational communication (written and verbal) skills – including group facilitation skills. Organization development/change management/process improvement experience concentrating on the performance improvement for executing projects. Desired but not Required Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional Certification. Budgeting/financial skills Experience with application integration technologies is desired but not essential – including IBM workflow management software integration tools and workflow commerce software.
