Job Title: Marketing Coordinator (Field and Events) Location: Chicago, IL (This role is hybrid or fully remote, but you must currently live in the Chicagoland area) • We cannot sponsor or transfer any visas, of any kind, at this time* Hiring Manager: Director of Growth Marketing Estimated salary range: $75,000 • The salary offered for this position will be based on a candidate’s experience and skill demonstrated during interviews and other evaluations About Ocient: Ocient is a hyperscale data solutions company founded in Chicago, IL, enabling organizations to analyze trillions to quadrillions of data records in seconds. Over the past five years, Ocient has built a SQL compliant data warehouse for Petabyte and beyond datasets that is 10x to 50x times faster than competitive OLAP databases. Our company is a remote first company, with employees all over the world. Position Overview: We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Marketing Coordinator with a specialization in Field and Events to support the execution and planning of field & events, initiatives and support of account-based marketing (ABM) programs. This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing career who is excited to learn, eager to collaborate, and ready to jump into a wide range of projects that support Ocient's Sales and Marketing teams. The coordinator will work cross-functionally to help ensure events run smoothly, campaigns are executed on time, and reporting stays up to date. Key Responsibilities: Note: 30%-50% expected travel time (international and domestic) Field Events & Logistics • Assist in the planning and coordination of industry events, dinners, conferences, webinars, and Ocient hosted events. • Manage logistics such as event registration, shipping, booth setup, and vendor coordination. • Help prepare promotional materials, collateral, and swag for upcoming events. • Support pre- and post-event activities including email sends, meeting tracking, and lead management • Coordinate internal meetings, briefings, and follow-ups to keep stakeholders aligned. • Representation of Ocient while in the field ABM Coordination • Support Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns including making recommendations for and planning ABM activations relating to the Field and Events program • Track ABM activity and engagement tied to Field and Events using reporting tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce). Administrative & Reporting Tasks • Maintain calendars and project trackers for ongoing marketing and event initiatives. • Compile reports on event performance, campaign engagement, and marketing KPIs. • Keep team documentation, budgets, and promotional item inventory organized and up to date. Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or a related field • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication. • Comfortable using or learning tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Excel/Sheets, and project trackers. • Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have: • Prior knowledge of the Data Warehouse and Database space • Experience supporting B2B events, trade shows, or webinars. • Familiarity with digital marketing or ABM tools (e.g., LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Influ2, HubSpot, etc.). • Interest in data, analytics, or technology industries.
