Role Overview: As an IR Tech working evening shifts at Ochsner, you will play a critical role in supporting interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position offers multiple shift options to accommodate different schedules, providing flexibility while contributing to high-quality patient care. What You'll Do: - You will prepare and maintain interventional radiology equipment and supplies for procedures. - You will assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. - You will monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to any changes. - You will ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards. - You will document procedures accurately and maintain patient records. - You will collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. - You will manage inventory and restock supplies as needed. - You will provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families. What You Bring: - You bring at least 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist or similar role. - You have certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT or equivalent). - You possess strong knowledge of radiographic equipment and imaging techniques. - You demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills. - You are able to work independently during evening shifts with minimal supervision. - You have a commitment to patient safety and quality care. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a hospital setting, particularly in interventional radiology. - Additional certifications such as CPR or ACLS. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Flexibility to work various shift patterns including 4 10-hour shifts, 3 12-hour shifts, or 7 on/7 off schedules.
