Role Overview: As an IR Tech working evening shifts at Ochsner Health System, you will play a vital role in supporting interventional radiology procedures by preparing and maintaining equipment, assisting physicians, and ensuring patient safety. This position offers multiple shift options to accommodate different schedules, providing flexibility while contributing to high-quality patient care. What You'll Do: - You will prepare and maintain interventional radiology equipment and supplies for procedures. - You will assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures to ensure smooth operation. - You will monitor patients and provide support to ensure their safety and comfort. - You will maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards. - You will document procedures and patient information accurately and timely. - You will collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. - You will participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices. - You will adhere to all hospital policies and regulatory requirements. What You Bring: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist or similar role. - Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with a focus on interventional radiology preferred. - Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting radiology equipment. - Strong understanding of patient care and safety protocols. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work flexible evening shifts as per the available schedules. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with multiple shift patterns including 4 10-hour shifts, 3 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off, or 5-2 split 12-hour shifts. - Additional certifications in vascular or cardiac interventional procedures. - Prior experience working in a large healthcare system. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
