Role Overview: As an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician working evening shifts, you will play a critical role in supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment, contributing directly to patient outcomes and the overall success of the radiology department. What You'll Do: - You will operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment during evening shifts to assist physicians in interventional procedures. - You will prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process. - You will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care. - You will monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details accurately. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards to maintain a safe environment. - You will troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and procedural delays. - You will participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with technological advancements. - You will manage multiple shift options including 4 10-hour shifts, 3 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off, or 5-2 split 12-hour shifts, demonstrating flexibility and commitment. What You Bring: - You bring at least 2 years of experience as an IR Technician or in a related radiologic technology role. - You hold current certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT or equivalent). - You have strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and imaging equipment. - You possess excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. - You demonstrate the ability to work independently during evening shifts with minimal supervision. - You have a commitment to patient safety and quality care standards. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a high-volume hospital setting. - Additional certifications in vascular or cardiac interventional radiology. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Previous experience managing flexible shift schedules.
