Role Overview: As an IR Tech working evening shifts at Ochsner Medical Center, you will play a critical role in supporting interventional radiology procedures. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment and assist physicians in delivering high-quality patient care during various shift options. What You'll Do: - You will operate and maintain interventional radiology imaging equipment during evening shifts. - You will prepare patients and assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. - You will monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes. - You will ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards. - You will document procedures accurately and maintain detailed patient records. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. - You will manage multiple shift schedules including 4 10-hour shifts, 3 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off, or 5-2 split 12-hour shifts. - You will participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. What You Bring: - You bring at least 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist or similar role. - You have proficiency with imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound. - You hold current ARRT certification and state licensure as required. - You possess strong patient care skills and the ability to work independently during evening shifts. - You demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - You are detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a high-volume hospital or medical center setting. - Additional certifications in vascular or cardiac interventional procedures. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Flexibility to work various shift patterns and adapt to changing schedules.
