Role Overview: As an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician on evening shifts, you will play a critical role in supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment, contributing to high-quality patient care. What You'll Do: - You will prepare and maintain imaging equipment for interventional radiology procedures. - You will assist physicians during procedures by operating imaging technology and monitoring patient status. - You will ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards. - You will manage patient records and documentation accurately and timely. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. - You will troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine equipment maintenance. - You will participate in continuing education to stay current with technological advancements. - You will provide compassionate support to patients throughout their procedures. What You Bring: - You bring at least 2 years of experience as an IR Technician or in a related radiologic technology role. - You have certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent. - You possess strong knowledge of interventional radiology equipment and procedures. - You demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills. - You are detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. - You have flexibility to work various evening shift schedules as outlined. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with multiple shift patterns including 4 10-hour shifts, 3 12-hour shifts, or 7 on/7 off rotations. - Additional certifications in vascular or cardiac interventional radiology. - Prior experience working in a large health system or academic medical center. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
