Role Overview: As an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician working evening shifts, you will play a critical role in supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of imaging equipment and assist physicians in delivering exceptional patient care. What You'll Do: - You will operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment during evening shifts to support interventional radiology procedures. - You will prepare patients and assist physicians throughout diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. - You will ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment. - You will document procedures accurately and communicate effectively with the healthcare team. - You will troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will participate in continuous education and training to stay current with technological advancements. - You will provide compassionate patient care, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort. - You will collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and patient outcomes. What You Bring: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as an IR Technician or in a related radiologic technology role. - Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with specialized training in interventional radiology preferred. - Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment. - Strong understanding of radiation safety and infection control standards. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work independently during evening shifts with minimal supervision. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a high-volume hospital setting. - Additional certifications such as CPR or ACLS. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Flexibility to work various shift patterns including 4 10-hour shifts, 3 12-hour shifts, or 7 on/7 off schedules.
