Role Overview: As an IR Tech on the evening shifts, you will play a vital role in supporting interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position offers multiple shift options to accommodate different schedules, providing flexibility while maintaining high standards of care. What You'll Do: - You will prepare and maintain interventional radiology equipment and supplies for procedures. - You will assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures by operating imaging equipment. - You will monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during procedures. - You will ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards. - You will document procedure details accurately and maintain patient records. - You will collaborate with the healthcare team to provide seamless patient care. - You will manage inventory and restock supplies as needed. - You will participate in ongoing training and professional development activities. What You Bring: - You have at least 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist or in a related radiologic technology role. - You hold a current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification. - You possess strong knowledge of imaging equipment and interventional radiology procedures. - You demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills. - You are able to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. - You are committed to patient safety and quality care. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working evening or night shifts in a hospital setting. - Additional certifications such as CPR or ACLS. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Previous experience at Ochsner Health System or similar healthcare organizations.
