Role Overview: As an IR Tech working evening shifts at Ochsner Medical Center, you will play a critical role in supporting interventional radiology procedures. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment, contributing directly to patient outcomes and the overall success of the radiology department. What You'll Do: - You will prepare and maintain imaging equipment for interventional radiology procedures. - You will assist physicians during procedures by operating imaging technology and monitoring patient status. - You will ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards. - You will manage patient records and documentation accurately and timely. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. - You will troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment. - You will participate in continuing education and training to stay current with industry advancements. - You will provide compassionate support to patients throughout their procedures. What You Bring: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist or similar role. - Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with specialized credentials in interventional radiology. - Proficiency with imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound. - Strong knowledge of radiation safety and patient care standards. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work flexible evening shifts as outlined (4 10-hour shifts, 3 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off, or 5-2 split 12-hour shifts). Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a high-volume hospital setting. - Additional certifications in vascular or cardiac interventional procedures. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.
