Role Overview: As an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician working evening shifts, you will play a critical role in supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment, contributing directly to patient outcomes and the overall success of the radiology department. What You'll Do: - You will operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment during evening shifts to assist physicians in interventional procedures. - You will prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring safety and comfort. - You will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. - You will monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any changes in condition. - You will document procedures accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with healthcare regulations. - You will adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment. - You will participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with technological advancements. - You will support multiple shift options including 4 10-hour shifts, 3 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off rotations, or 5-2 split 12-hour shifts. What You Bring: - You bring at least 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician or in a related radiologic technology role. - You hold a current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or equivalent. - You have strong knowledge of imaging equipment operation and safety standards. - You demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical environment. - You are able to work independently during evening shifts with minimal supervision. - You possess basic life support (BLS) certification. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a hospital setting with interventional radiology procedures. - Additional certifications such as CPR, ACLS, or specialty radiology credentials. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. - Flexibility to work various shift patterns as needed.
