Role Overview: As the Director of Imaging Services, you will lead and oversee all imaging operations within the health system, ensuring high-quality diagnostic services and efficient workflow. Your role is pivotal in advancing imaging technologies and fostering a collaborative environment among clinical teams. What You'll Do: - You will manage daily operations of the imaging department, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. - You will lead a team of radiologists, technologists, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care. - You will develop and implement strategic plans to enhance imaging services and incorporate new technologies. - You will oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial performance of the imaging department. - You will collaborate with other healthcare leaders to integrate imaging services with broader clinical initiatives. - You will ensure continuous quality improvement and patient safety in all imaging procedures. - You will manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for imaging equipment and services. - You will provide training and professional development opportunities for imaging staff. What You Bring: - Minimum of 7 years of experience in medical imaging, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Strong knowledge of imaging modalities such as MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound. - Proven ability to manage budgets and lead multidisciplinary teams. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clinical and administrative staff. - Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards related to imaging services. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certification in Radiology Administration or Healthcare Management. - Experience with advanced imaging technologies and PACS systems. - Background in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. - Experience working in a large, integrated health system.
