Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of banquet events at Ocean Palace restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service. The Banquet Manager will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction during all banquet functions. Duties • Coordinate and supervise all aspects of banquet events, including setup, service, and breakdown to ensure seamless execution. • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to meet culinary standards. • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels for banquet operations. • Handle cash transactions accurately using Toast POS system and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed. • Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production and catering services for events. • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in all banquet areas. • Manage shift schedules, assign duties to team members, and oversee staff performance to promote a professional work environment. • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation for banquet functions. • Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to uphold excellent customer service standards. • Participate in staff hiring, interviewing, training, and development initiatives to build a competent team. Experience • Proven management experience within the food industry, particularly in banquet or catering settings. • Extensive background in food service management with knowledge of fine dining, casual dining, or hotel banquet operations. • Prior experience with event planning or catering is highly desirable. • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
