Position Type: Non-Certified Student Support Services/Lunch Aids Date Posted: 1/7/2026 Location: Madison Elementary School District: Madison District Public Schools INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING JOB TITLE: Part-time Lunch Aide LOCATION: Madison District Public Schools - Madison Elementary School START DATE: January 20, 2026 SCHEDULE: 10:30am - 1:30pm (3 hours per day) SALARY: $13.73 per hour DESCRIPTION Under supervision of the building administrators, the Lunch Aide will assist with all aspects of the lunchroom and recess areas while monitoring all students during lunch and recess periods. QUALIFICATIONS: • High school graduate or equivalent • Ability to work effectively with staff, students and parents • Experience working with elementary age children preferred • Positive reinforcement skills • First aid/CPR classes preferred/recommended • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action • Ability to ensure the physical safety of the student which may require running ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervise all students during lunch and recess periods • Enforce school rules, policies and regulations concerning the safety, well-being and proper behavior of students; maintain order and awareness of student safety and well-being. • Exercise patience and kindness to all regular education and special education students • Direct and respond appropriately to students • Maintain a safe and orderly environment at all times • Report accidents, injuries, or other incidents to the main office; alert the Principal or a teacher to any concerns arising with a student or students • Correct or report conditions hazardous to the health and safety of children • Work with students indoors and outdoors with varying weather conditions • Establish and maintain a friendly, cooperative and effective relationship with students, school administrators and the community • Other duties as assigned METHOD OF APPLICATION • Complete application process with Oakland Human Resources Consortium (OHRC) • Upload letter of interest, current resume, and letters of recommendation
