POSITION: Elementary Academic Interventionist (contracted through EduStaff) - req LOCATION: Oakwood Elementary MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Elementary endorsement, and demonstrated training and/or expertise appropriate for the assignment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Assist at-risk students in a small-group or individual setting as part of a general education • Use assessments and data to differentiate the classroom curriculum in accordance with the academic needs of individual students • Instruct student's academic need in order to meet standards • Modify instruction using alternative delivery techniques with at-risk students • Establish effective rapport with students that supports learning and a sense of physical and emotional safety • Motivate students to develop skills, attitude, and knowledge necessary for academic growth • Work cooperatively with staff, administrators, and parents relative to the needs of students with academic challenges • Track data on student growth in accordance with the Response To Intervention model • Communicate positively, clearly, and accurately with teacher of record and students both orally and in written form • Reflect thoughtfully on own teaching • Maintain confidentiality • Engage in continuous professional growth • Other duties as assigned REPORTS TO: Building Principal WORKDAY/WEEK: Student School Year Calendar: 7.5 hours per day (7 hours paid with a 30 minute unpaid lunch) STARTING DATE: ASAP COMPENSATION: Starting at $28.00/hour (with valid teaching certification), EduStaff POSTING DATE: January 5, 2026 POSTING DEADLINE: Internal: Until Filled External: Until Filled The Brandon Board of Education is committed to a policy of non-discrimination in relation to race, color, sex, age, religion, height, weight, gender identity, marital status, disability and national origin.
