Job Summary Under the direct supervision of clinical supervisor, the CRU Clinician provides psychosocial support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. This role includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating brief interventions, and coordinating discharge and aftercare services. The Clinical Social Worker collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure trauma-informed, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment. Essential Functions * Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify emotional, social, and resource needs of individuals in crisis. * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using solution-focused and trauma-informed approaches. * Provide brief therapeutic interventions to support stabilization and recovery. * Coordinate discharge planning and connect patients with appropriate community resources. * Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to care planning and progress updates. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes. * Support a safe, therapeutic environment aligned with CRU goals and individual’s needs. * Adapt to unit demands, including flexible scheduling and coverage support. * Provide short-term, evidence-based individual and group therapy focused on crisis stabilization, safety, and coping skills Job Requirements and Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling. Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): Must hold a full or limited license in Michigan in social work, counseling or psychology. Experience Requirements: * Prior experience in behavioral health setting.
