NYC Alliance Company LLC is on the lookout for a creative and skilled Designer specializing in Wovens to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the design department, you will be responsible for crafting innovative and trend-driven designs for our woven apparel categories, ensuring that they resonate with our target customers. Responsibilities Develop original seasonal designs for woven apparel, including tops, dresses, and bottoms. Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, colors, and styles that align with consumer preferences. Create detailed technical sketches and specifications for production, adhering to brand guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production, and marketing to ensure cohesive product development. Manage the sample development process by coordinating with vendors and oversees fabric development and sourcing. Participate in fittings and adjust designs based on fit feedback and quality standards. Stay updated on fabric innovations and industry trends to continuously inform the design process. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 3-4 years of experience in woven garment design, preferably in the women’s apparel segment. Strong creative and conceptual skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Knowledgeable about textile development, garment construction, and production processes. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of woven product categories.
