Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Lead Plumber Mechanic to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced plumber who is comfortable working independently, managing fieldwork, and representing the company during client walkthroughs. Your key role will involve performing plumbing work as well as walking job sites with clients to help assess conditions, provide detailed explanations of scope, and assist in generating estimates in line with company guidance. Duties • Perform plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair work on residential and commercial properties. • Conduct on-site walkthroughs with clients to: • Review the scope of work • Assess current system conditions • Communicate expected work process and timelines • Provide input toward job estimates in accordance with internal pricing and company standards • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings to plan projects accurately • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve plumbing issues quickly and efficiently • Ensure all work adheres to NYC Department of Buildings plumbing codes and regulations • Coordinate and communicate with other trades (electricians, contractors, etc.) • Maintain a professional appearance and work ethic on all job sites • Uphold a clean and safe work environment Skills • Experience as a plumbing mechanic is required • Valid driver’s license required- Background check • Full Gas Qualification Card – Highly preferred • Task 86/87 Certification – Required • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, code compliance, and best practices • Ability to assist with oil-to-gas conversions, as well as boiler and hot water heater installations • Clear, professional communication skills—especially important during client walkthroughs • Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks as needed • Must be self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Join our team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional plumbing services.
