Role Overview: As the Manager of Travel Services, you will oversee all aspects of corporate travel management to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and seamless travel experiences for our staff and partners. You will play a critical role in supporting NY CREATES' mission by managing travel logistics that enable our teams to collaborate and innovate globally. What You'll Do: - You will manage and coordinate all corporate travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation. - You will develop and implement travel policies and procedures to optimize cost savings and compliance. - You will negotiate with travel vendors and service providers to secure favorable rates and contracts. - You will oversee travel budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare regular reports for senior management. - You will provide exceptional customer service and support to employees regarding travel inquiries and issues. - You will collaborate with internal departments to align travel plans with organizational goals and project timelines. - You will stay updated on industry trends and travel regulations to ensure compliance and best practices. - You will lead and mentor a team of travel coordinators to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate travel management or related fields. - Strong knowledge of travel booking systems, expense management software, and travel industry standards. - Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills. - Proven ability to manage budgets and analyze travel data for cost optimization. - Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team. - Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a technology or research-driven organization. - Certification in travel management or related professional credentials. - Familiarity with international travel regulations and visa processes. - Proficiency in additional languages.
