Company Description The New York Auto Museum, with its proposed 200,000+ square-foot Manhattan location, aims to redefine the concept of an Automotive Museum. The state-of-the-art facility, with a modern design and unique features such as a massive rooftop patio and partially glassed floors, will allow visitors to view vehicles from all angles. Guests will have the opportunity to explore and interact with up to 50 historical vehicles, making it a one-of-a-kind experience. The museum is committed to creativity and innovation in showcasing automotive history. Role Description This is PRO-BONO role for a Corporate Lawyer with experience in the non-profit sector 4-6 HOURS a Month. The Corporate Lawyer will be responsible for providing legal guidance on corporate governance as it pertains to the Museum’s Non-Profit wing; The New York Auto Experience Inc. www.newyorkautoexperience.org. We seek help with compliance with non-profit regulations, drafting and reviewing contracts, and assisting with legal decision-making processes. The candidate will work closely with the leadership team to ensure the organization operates within legal guidelines, handles risk management, and aligns with its mission an d values. Qualifications • Strong expertise in Corporate Law, including corporate governance and compliance • Experience in Non-Profit legal operations, regulatory affairs, and tax-exempt compliance • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate with cross-functional teams • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to the bar in relevant jurisdiction - New York State • Experience with museum or cultural institution legal matters is a plus
