About The Role Stakeholder Engagement Ambassador (Part time) Permanent, 20 Hours per week Salary Up to £21,189 depending on experience (based on 20 hours per week) Based in Pity Me, Durham At Northumbrian Water, we’re committed to delivering an exceptional experience for every customer. We're launching an exciting new role—Stakeholder Engagement Ambassador—across our North east regions. Stakeholders are essential in helping us connect with customers and promote awareness of our affordability and priority services. Are you ready for an exciting career? Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this role will focus on building stronger relationships with key partners such as charities, housing associations, and Citizens Advice. By working together, we'll raise awareness, create alternative application routes for financial support and PSR and establish data-sharing agreements to better support those who need it most. Based in County Durham, you'll need to be flexible with both travel and working hours, taking responsibility for planning your own schedule. Your week will include a mix of office-based work, home working, and visiting stakeholders across our regions. Some evening and weekend work will be required, depending on the timing and location of stakeholder events. What You’ll Do: • You’ll build trust and strong relationships with stakeholders promoting our tariffs and priority services. • You’ll work collaboratively to promote awareness of our brand and create ease of application for support. • Grow a network of community advocates within organisations who can help share our key messages. • Plan and deliver a yearly calendar of stakeholder events, both in-person and online, to support ongoing engagement. • Create and distribute regular partnership newsletters to keep stakeholders informed and connected. • Provide training for partnership organisations so that they can apply for water bill and PSR support independently. • Explore and set up data sharing arrangements with others to proactively provide support where we can (e.g. councils etc). • Communicate on every level: stakeholders, customers, and businesses in a positive, way, to drive-up positive brand awareness, answer (sometimes awkward) questions, influence behaviour change. • Continuously learn and adapt and regularly report on feedback from our stakeholders to influence messaging and improve awareness of our support and brand. About You: • You’ve excellent communication skills and thrive on taking ownership to meet business and stakeholder needs. • You’ll be self-motivated and driven to meet targets and improve awareness of our support schemes. • You’ll have the confidence to make decisions on your own. • Having experience in building and nurturing stakeholder partnerships would be desirable. • You will need to have a full UK driving licence to fulfil the role.
