Job Details Job Location Corporate - IN - Indianapolis, IN Job Shift Day Description Job Title: Product Marketing Strategist Reports To: Director of Marketing Summary: As a Product Marketing Strategist you will help manage the product life cycle from cradle to grave, while ensuring business objectives and timetables are met. You are responsible for executing category business from concept development with Design through marketing and sell through. You will collaborate with local, remote and overseas personnel across departments in sales, design, operations, data, marketing and leadership to define, prioritize, promote and manage products to grow revenue. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to the following: • Lead execution of strategic thinking, category building and the translation of the business category objectives into strategy/execution across product, marketing and event tactics. • Monitor, track, and analyze category performance and initiatives; translating into adjustments of objectives, strategies and tactics. • Provide value-add insights by analyzing sales, market research and competitive data elements translating raw data into actionable information to support strategies and tactics. Demonstrate a solid understanding of category management, considering the needs and drivers of end customer, distributors/dealers and company, and how to fulfill them simultaneously • Assist in managing product costs and inventory to ensure sales results are in-line with company objectives. • Develop deep relationships with the sales team delivering insights and analysis for compelling customer sales presentations. • Capable of keeping an eye on the big picture, as well as the details, to drive results. • Ability to lead up, down and across teams including cooperatively working/communicating with design, finance, sales and operational teams. • Ability to organize information, prioritize and have attention to detail. • Help manage the research, design, development, business case and launch of products within the process with high level of focus on detail and execution • Lead and manage the logistics, planning and execution of trade shows and customer company events. Qualifications and/or Skills Required • Bachelor's Degree or higher in marketing field or related field of study preferred • 5+ years' experience in B2B or B2C industry • Proficient in Trello, Hubspot, Google Suite, specifically Slides and Sheets • Strong soft skills that inspire all personality types - while juggling aggressive timelines and various simple to complex projects. • Experience in ability to turn an idea into reality • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing, project management and product development process • Ability to leverage technology to gain efficiency and leading edge product/insights • Skill and comfort level with doing presentations in front of a live and virtual audience • Willingness and ability to travel as required (and restrictions allow) • Excellent communications skills, making the complex easy to understand. • Excellent analytical skills upon which to base decision-making • Passionate proactive problem solving. • A strong understanding of product and cross channel marketing concepts. • A strong understanding of data analysis and translating it into insights and opportunities. • Comfortable interacting with customers, external and internal staff alike. • Strong persuasive and consensus building skills.
