Overview NV5 is seeking a Utilities Geospatial Analyst to join a remotely distributed team delivering cutting-edge GIS solutions for utility clients across electric, gas, water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors. This role combines technical expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Utility Network with strong analytical and communication skills to implement, support, and optimize geospatial data systems. You'll lead data assessments, conversions, configurations, and training to help clients modernize their network information management Work Setting: This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to work from any NV5 Regional Office or remotely from home. Occasional travel may be required, typically less than 10%. Responsibilities Assess and migrate utility data to implement ArcGIS Utility Network Facilitate client-facing workshops to assess data and business processes Evaluate, design, and implement geospatial data models and conversion processes Configure and use tools like ArcGIS Data Reviewer, Safe Software FME/ArcGIS Data Interoperability, and Esri Data Management Toolbox Provide database support (SQL/Oracle, SDE, file geodatabase) Troubleshoot GIS workflows and ensure data quality Document processes and train users on GIS technologies Qualifications Must Have Qualifications: Bachelor’s in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 2+ years experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise/AGO U.S. Citizenship (ability to obtain security clearance) Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Utility Network, and geodatabase design Proficient knowledge of utility assets Experience with data conversion processes Qualifications That Set You Apart: 3+ years in electric utility GIS operations ArcGIS Utility Network certification Experience with database migrations and Enterprise implementation Experience with project management Competencies and Skills: ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Portal, Online) and ArcGIS Pro Excellent technical communication (verbal, written, presentation) and customer service skills Analytical thinking and problem-solving Self-motivated and adaptable to remote work Experience with QA/QC for utility data Ability to train others Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
