Your Mission As part of Nuvei’s global growth and specifically its current trajectory in North America, we are seeking a Senior Manager who will work closely with all major Schemes (i.e., Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Local Schemes,) and a range of their Products and Solutions in developing and cementing Nuvei’s partnerships and growth in this key region. This role will also require the Senior Manager to work closely across all Schemes on ongoing communication related to mandates, new releases, rules, compliance requirements, and consuming relevant assets from the schemes that will enhance Nuvei’s value proposition. The Senior Manager will coordinate with Nuvei Product team Scheme requirements and coming enhancements to ensure full compliance with the scheme requirements. This individual will coordinate with Nuvei Acquiring Development team, Product, Compliance, and UW to ensure that projects are on schedule, meet the local requirements, and provide Nuvei with a competitive advantage. An additional area of focus will be facilitating Gaming & Gambling registration with key US schemes to ensure fast and efficient onboarding of merchants. The Senior Manager will work on ongoing and strategic initiatives that will require close coordination with Scheme’s Ops team. In this capacity the Senior Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders. This is a perfect opportunity for you to make a significant mark on the Company’s progress in the industry. You will have extensive payment industry knowledge and experience with excellent interpersonal skills to work with various cross functional teams in ensuring the scheme rules are implemented swiftly and in a timely manner. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · 3 years of work experience in the payment space (preferably with similar acquirers) · Strong execution skills and ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple functions · Keen ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities and cost reduction initiatives that will propel the growth of Nuvei in this critical market. · Ability to integrate multiple disciplines such as payments, payouts, risk, global vs local, APMs, and product to establish and pursue a new approach to increase market share and revenues. · Develop and cement relationships at internal and external stakeholders · This role will require close coordination with Nuvei Product, Sales, Compliance, UW and Finance teams. · Works in ambiguous and uncertain environment with unpredictable situations to evaluate, identify, recommend, and pursues multiple strategic initiatives. · Understanding schemes rules and regulations, bulletins and changes, translating them into clear requirements ready to be implemented by the relevant personnel. · Regularly communicating internally regarding the scheme requirements to existing/new products and supporting their implementation. The cross functional environment will include working with Acquiring Development, technology, compliance, legal, pricing, operations, and sales teams. · Understand the Scheme and Bank Sponsorships drivers and align resources to partner with on winning opportunities. · Keeping abreast with compliance requirements which arise from third-parties, including advising on any changes to our policies, procedures and controls through validation and implementation. · Detail oriented and exceptional follow-ups skills · Identifying and implementing any regulatory challenges and changes to payment services products. · Liaising with key internal (e.g. Development, Legal, Risk, MLRO etc) and external (e.g. Regulators, advisors, vendors, partners etc) stakeholders as required · Producing scheme reports and management information with regular updates. · Build and solidify our relationships with other Acquirers, schemes, and Banks. Qualifications include, but are not limited to: · Ability to influence others internally and externally, in pursuing challenging and outside the box initiatives. · Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to lead a cross functional team towards achieving complex and uncertain tasks that are constantly changing. · Ability to leverage on a wide range of prior experiences to articulate new opportunities, tackle challenges, and come up with innovative and creative long term solutions. · The role requires strong attention to details, strategic vision, and a profound focus on execution. · The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can convey clear messages to internal and external executives. · Knowledge of the payments space and all key players including issuers, acquirers, merchants, PayFac, Acquirers, Financial Institutions and networks. · Capable of managing card scheme rules from identification and inception to implementation. · Knowledge and experience of the regulatory requirements relating to payment services (PSRs, EMRs, PARs, PSD2). · Knowledge of interconnecting regulations, such as the Interchange Fee Regulations. · Knowledge of the payment landscape and ability to identify potential growth opportunities. · Being a strong team player who can work effectively across teams and functions. · BA or equivalent in related field Nuvei is an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates collaboration and innovation and is committed to developing a diverse and inclusive workplace.
