Candidates should be comfortable working onsite in Oakbrook Terrace, IL on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Overview • Our client is seeking a Project Manager responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to completion. As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of a project, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. The chosen candidate will be tasked with overseeing and successfully executing assigned projects, while ensuring they adhere to the set parameters of cost, quality, schedule, and objectives. The Project Manager will be responsible for guiding and supervising the team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to team members. They will also need to foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive team environment. Communication is key, being engaged and driving the projects forward. The Project Manager will manage 15 Project in Portfolio with a maximum of six occurring at the same time. You will be... • Developing project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. • Leading project teams and coordinating activities to ensure that project goals are met. • Monitoring project progress and identifying and addressing issues or risks. • Communicating with stakeholders and senior management to provide updates on project status. • Managing project budgets and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget. • Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards. • Developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders and external partners. • Leading project meetings and facilitating discussions to drive project progress. • Managing project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports. • Supporting the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes. Required Skills & Experience • PMP Certification, Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of IT Project Management experience with large companies. • Familiarity in managing projects within the IT domain with an understanding of IT-specific processes, technologies, and challenges that arise in IT Project Management. • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, including MS Teams). • Experience utilizing project management tools and software effectively including: Power BI, MS Project, and SharePoint to facilitate project planning, tracking, collaboration, and reporting. • Must have a solid understanding of technology concepts, terminology, and infrastructure and able to effectively communicate and collaborate with technical team members and stakeholders. • Must have the ability to set realistic expectations by effectively managing scope, timelines, and resources. They should communicate project constraints and limitations proactively, explain trade-offs, and align stakeholders' expectations with project realities.
