Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Order Picker Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently selecting, loading, and unloading materials using various heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and materials handling to ensure accurate order fulfillment and smooth logistics flow. Duties • Operate forklift, crane, clamp truck, pallet jack, and RF scanner to pick and move inventory accurately within the warehouse. • Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety standards. • Use warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and order statuses. • Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and labeling. • Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively during order picking and material handling. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies during all operations. • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and workflow. • Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure mechanical integrity and report any issues promptly. Skills • Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, or related roles. • Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, crane equipment, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery. • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control. • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments. • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods. • Warehouse experience including materials handling, construction background is a plus. • Previous warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous for leadership roles. • Knowledge of OSHA regulations ensures compliance during daily operations.
