Provide direct care and support to clients including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, mobility support, and companionship.
Experience in caregiving or related settings, ability to assist with ADLs, medication administration, and preferably First Aid/CPR certification.
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, with responsibilities that may vary based on individual needs and settings, including home health, assisted living, and memory care environments. Duties • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client conditions. • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. • Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. • Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. • Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being. • Provide direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or autism. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies. Skills • Proficiency in First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. • Experience in group homes, nursing homes, or hospice care settings is beneficial. • Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status. • Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility. • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality. • Familiarity with meal preparation and cooking for special dietary needs. • Experience in home health or community care settings is a plus. • Compassionate approach towards caregiving with excellent interpersonal skills. • Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
