Previous caregiving experience preferred, CPR and first aid certification highly desirable, ability to perform patient transfers, and strong communication skills required.
Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their safety and comfort while promoting independence. This role involves working with individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and group homes. Duties • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. • Provide personal care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia. • Monitor patients’ health by observing and reporting changes in their condition, including vital signs and overall well-being. • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning tailored to clients' dietary needs. • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. • Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans developed by healthcare professionals. • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. • Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for transferring clients safely when necessary. • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s quality of life. Qualifications • Previous experience in caregiving roles such as home health aide, nursing assistant, or similar positions is preferred. • Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. • Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and medication administration protocols. • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus, including autism or other developmental disorders. • Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance. • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. • Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality at all times. • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life through attentive care.
