This position will be in Dulles, VA. This work will primarily be performed in a SCIF environment, so onsite work is required.In this Role, you will:Be a part of the enabling technology at Northrop Grumman that puts satellites and spacecraft into space.Take program software to the next level by using automation frameworks.Learn cutting edge technologies that take full advantage of a cloud environment.Locate and remediate problems in code, testing, and deployment.Use tools like Jenkins and Ansible to set up automation steps that fast-track code from development, testing, and deployment.Automate cloud native technologies, deploy applications, and provision critical infrastructure.Work with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.Work within the OpenStack cloud ecosystem to configure and deploy optimized infrastructure.Produce applications that span languages and toolsets including Python, Postgres, Ansible, cloud infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and static code analysis.Basic Qualifications:Engineer:Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 2 years of experience; OR a master’s degree; OR a PhD. Experience can be used in lieu of a degree.3+ years of DevOps or software development experience.Demonstrated experience with Ansible, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.3+ years in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives and Jira metrics reporting.U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top-Secret clearance at time of application.Principal Engineer:Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 5 years of experience; OR a master’s degree and 3 years; OR a PhD. Experience can be used in lieu of a degree.5+ years of DevOps or software development experience.Demonstrated experience with Ansible, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.5+ years in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives and Jira metrics reporting.U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top-Secret clearance at time of application.Salary Range: $89,400 - $134,200Salary Range 2: $110,300 - $165,500Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
