This is a rare opportunity to own the full spectrum of commercial HVAC engineering; from design to drafting to final field execution. Learn more at www.northernwolvesac.com Key Responsibilities • Develop and manage commercial HVAC system designs from concept through construction. • Produce and review shop drawings for HVAC ductwork and piping using AutoCAD and Revit. • Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, equipment selections, and technical narratives. • Lead design-build engineering efforts and implement value-engineered solutions. • Ensure compliance with NYC Mechanical Code, Energy Code, IMC, ASHRAE, and AHJ requirements. • Perform and review Manual J calculations and load analysis. • Apply and document for ITC/incentive-related mechanical systems when applicable. • Coordinate with structural, electrical, architectural, and general contractor teams. • Provide technical support for construction, including sketches, clarifications, and field troubleshooting. • Establish and maintain company-wide drafting and engineering standards. Qualifications • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Masters Degree is preferred. • 5-7+ years of experience in commercial HVAC mechanical design. • Strong experience with shop drawings, coordination drawings, and design documents. • Proven design-build project experience. • Deep knowledge of NYC DOB codes, permitting, and compliance. • Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Revit. • Solid understanding of HVAC controls, equipment integration, and system performance. • Must hold a Mechanical Engineer Diploma; PE license or license-track preferred. • Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills. • Detail-driven with a commitment to technical excellence.
