Event Producer Pay: From $20.00 per hour, plus gratuities, with growth opportunities available Northern Fork is a rapidly growing catering company, delivering exceptional and thoughtfully prepared food to the Chicago Land Area for over 22 years. We are seeking an experienced and professional Event Producer to oversee event service operations for weddings, corporate events, and private functions. The ideal candidate is a strong team leader who is guest-focused, highly organized, and confident managing staff in a fast-paced event environment. This role is responsible for the execution of off site events which includes supervising event staff, coordinating setup and breakdown, ensuring seamless service execution, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism throughout each event. The Catering Lead also serves as a key liaison between the Sales team and the Event Staff Manager, ensuring clear communication of event details, client expectations, timelines, and any special requests to guarantee smooth and successful execution. This role will report to the Event Staffing Manager. Current requirements for all applicants: • 2-3 years previous event or hospitality experience. • Experience in event management and execution. • Ability to manage and direct service staff on site. • A passion for food and customer service. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional attitude. • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. • Reliable transportation to and from event locations, as all events are off-site and require timely arrival. • Able to drive company vehicles, with a valid driver’s license and insurance coverage. • BASSET and/or Food Handlers Certification (or willingness to obtain). • Smartphone with a data plan for communication and event coordination. Event Producer Responsibilities • Serve as the on-site leader for weddings, corporate events, and all other private functions • Act as the primary liaison between the Sales team, Event Staff Manager, kitchen team, and on-site event staff • Attends weekly production meeting at NF offices to review upcoming event details • Review event orders (BEOs) and ensure all details, timelines, and client expectations are clearly communicated and executed • Act as primary onsite client and venue liaison throughout events • Supervise, direct, and support catering servers and bartenders during events • Oversee event setup, service flow, and breakdown to ensure efficiency and professionalism • Ensure proper food presentation, service standards, and adherence to company policies • Manage event timelines and adjust as needed to maintain seamless service • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally • Conduct pre-shift staff briefings and assign roles and responsibilities • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to the Event Staff Manager • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment • Confirm all rental items, equipment, and supplies are accounted for before and after events If you are ready to be part of a growth minded and hard working team that’s success is rooted in the client experience, please reach out to us today!
