Job Summary Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Guest Service/Front Desk Manager, where your energy and leadership will create memorable experiences for our guests. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily front desk operations, ensure exceptional guest services, and foster a welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to excellence. Your passion for hospitality management and guest relations will drive the success of our resort or hotel, inspiring your team to deliver top-tier service every day. Job Duties • Lead and supervise front desk staff to deliver outstanding guest services with professionalism and enthusiasm. • Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring smooth and welcoming arrivals and departures. • Train, mentor and manage front desk staff to deliver exceptional customer service. • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally. • Maintain accurate records of room availability, reservations and guest accounts. • Enforces all cash-handling and credit policies. • Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to enhance the overall guest experience. • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures related to front office operations. • Responsible for scheduling staff reflective of daily occupancy and arrival/departure patterns, timesheet reconciliation and approval. • Participate in related personnel issues including interviewing, hiring, disciplinary action, coaching and counseling sessions. • Utilize phone etiquette skills to communicate effectively with guests and staff. • Promote a welcoming atmosphere by promoting teamwork, hospitality standards, and guest satisfaction initiatives. • Any other requests from management and ownership. Qualifications • Minimum of 4 years of documented hotel/resort guest service experience; including at least 2 years in a supervisory position. • Previous Guest Service/Front Desk Manager experience is preferred. • Ability to work flexible hours (days, nights, weekends and holidays) is required. • Strong knowledge and experience with hotel management systems (Agility, Maestro, Great Plains is a plus), reservation platforms, multi-line phone systems, and computer programs for word documents and spreadsheets. • Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse guests effectively. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. • Solid self-starter and self-motivated to accomplish goals with a strong sense of responsibility. • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations expertise. • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills. • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing outstanding service. Job Setting and Physical Demands To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment, talk to customers on the phone, and maintain a calm attitude when dealing with customer issues. Employee must also be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
