Lead and manage a team of analytics engineers to develop and maintain enterprise data models and pipelines supporting operations, procurement, and finance.
Extensive experience in data engineering, team leadership, SQL, Power BI, and familiarity with enterprise data environments and governance.
We are seeking a strategic and hands on IT Manager to lead data and analytics capabilities supporting operations purchasing and finance functions for a large complex manufacturing enterprise. This role is responsible for building governing and scaling enterprise data assets that support operational reporting procurement insights and financial decision making. The IT Manager will lead a team of analytics engineers and partner closely with IT data governance and business stakeholders to deliver trusted reusable data products using Microsoft Fabric and dbt. This role requires strong technical depth combined with the ability to operate credibly with senior operations procurement and finance leaders. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of analytics engineers responsible for enterprise data models and pipelines Own the data strategy and execution for operations purchasing and finance domains including spend supplier performance cost centers budgets and operational metrics Design develop and maintain data transformations using dbt within Microsoft Fabric environments including OneLake Lakehouse Warehouse and Power BI Collaborate with IT data governance and business teams to define data standards stewardship ownership and quality controls Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models to support enterprise reporting and analytics Ensure data pipelines are reliable scalable well tested and well documented Monitor production workflows and optimize performance and reliability Support integration of data from ERP procurement finance and other enterprise systems Mentor team members and promote best practices in analytics engineering data modeling testing and documentation Drive a culture of accountability continuous improvement and technical excellence Required Qualifications Five or more years of experience in analytics engineering data engineering or related roles At least two years of experience leading or managing technical teams Strong hands on experience with dbt Core or dbt Cloud Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric including OneLake Lakehouse Warehouse and Power BI Advanced SQL skills and experience with large scale enterprise data environments Solid understanding of operations procurement and finance data structures and reporting needs Experience with data governance concepts including data quality lineage and metadata Experience with Git based version control and CI CD pipelines Strong communication leadership and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Power BI DAX and semantic modeling Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data catalog tools Background in operations purchasing or finance analytics Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments Employment Type W2 full time Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the United States North Point Technology is THE BEST place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country’s most crucial missions!
