This Role We’re looking for a People Operations Associate to support and strengthen the foundation of Norm’s fast-growing team. As one of the earliest members of the People team, you’ll work closely with the People Operations Manager to ensure a seamless employee experience and help build scalable programs across onboarding, benefits, HR systems, compliance, and culture. This role is ideal for someone early in their People Ops career who is highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn. You’ll be hands-on in day-to-day operations while gaining exposure to HR strategy, systems building, and cross-functional collaboration across Core Ops teams (Talent, Finance, Legal, InfoSec, etc). What You’ll Do Support smooth and high-quality onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of documentation, systems setup, and coordination with cross-functional partners. Assist with benefits administration, employee inquiries, and day-to-day HR questions. Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Support the development and upkeep of employee policies, handbooks, and documentation in partnership with the People Ops Manager. Maintain accurate employee data in our HRIS and other internal tools. Assist with reporting, audits, and data hygiene to ensure operational accuracy and compliance. Help manage relationships with HR vendors (e.g., PEO, benefits brokers, etc.) Support the execution of people programs, including performance review cycles, engagement initiatives, learning opportunities, and recognition programs. Partner with Talent to create a seamless candidate-to-employee transition experience. Identify opportunities to streamline and improve People Ops workflows. Contribute to building scalable systems, templates, and documentation as the company grows. Skills & Experience – Core (1-3) years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a related operations role (experience in high-growth environments a plus). Startup or early-stage company experience. Strong detail-oriented mindset and organizational skills. Familiarity with HR tools (HRIS, performance management systems, etc.) Experience supporting process development or workflow documentation. Comfort handling sensitive information with confidentiality, discretion, professionalism. Base knowledge of employment law, compliance, and people systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Experience working with a PEO (e.g., Rippling is a plus) or supporting benefits administration. Compensation & Benefits $95,000-$115,000 per year plus equity. The range displayed reflects the target base salary for this role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including experience, skills, and interview performance.
