Job Description As an Engineer 1, you'll be part of a collaborative group of technical professionals with a passion for continual improvement. What you'll be doing • Engineering and support for critical edge traffic, API gateway and security systems • Architect and implement software, systems, and tooling- with a focus on building self-service platforms for internal teams • Measure and optimize performance and reliability for critical security systems and services • Write and contribute to project plans, author engineering level documentation, and develop detailed test plans • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal partner teams as well as vendors • Participate in an on-call rotation as needed More about you • Ideal candidate will have platform, development or SRE experience in a large-scale environment • Strong customer service focus coupled with a proven ability to positively interact with customers of all levels within the organization. • Organized, responsive and thorough problem solver • Exhibit a strong work ethic and a positive outlook • Independent and entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for continuous improvement • Focused on automation and streamlining solutions • Passionate about giving and receiving mentorship and inspiring others to succeed Qualifications: • BS in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent education and experience required • 5+ Years' experience providing engineering and operations support of mission critical services • Proficiency with software development in a well-known language (e.g. Python, Go are a plus) • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of APIs and web related technologies (CDN, Reverse Proxies, Caching technologies such as Varnish and VCL a plus) and protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS) • Demonstrates knowledge in security systems including WAF and Bot Mitigation • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure and config management/declarative configuration. (Github Actions, Terraform) • Effective written and oral communication, ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner • Ability to learn new technologies and adopt new tools • Able to evaluate and recommended new tools and practices in the area of responsibility #LI-Hybrid We've got you covered...
