The Technology Disaster Recovery Coordinator is responsible for coordinating complex disaster recovery projects and ensuring readiness of infrastructure platforms. This role involves creating technical documents, evaluating disaster recovery solutions, and collaborating with various infrastructure teams.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in infrastructure technology and the ability to author technical documents related to disaster recovery. A bachelor's degree is generally required, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Make a difference. Be happy. Grow your career. The Disaster Recovery Technology Coordinator responsibilities include completing work on major, complex projects with full competency. Coordinate with both technical and non-technical staff and vendors on the implementation of complex disaster recovery requirement designs. Perform analysis on readiness state on both physical and virtual infrastructure platforms. Recommend, implement and document corrective solutions to meet cross functional infrastructure teams. Participate in evaluation and recommending disaster recovery solutions. Document work in the form of work instructions tasks lists, standards and knowledge base articles to be integrated with the application recovery plans. This position is expected to work both independently and with various infrastructure teams across the Nordic Global’s Manage Services customers. Responsibilities: • Actively create infrastructure disaster recovery technical documents as well as provide/receive guidance to/from application team members as needed to ensure quality and delivery of work. • Assist with the evaluation and recommendation of disaster recovery technical solutions based on requirements, ranging from regional groups to enterprise wide. • Engage in meeting coordination with tier 2 and tier 3 infrastructure teams identified with implementing disaster recovery services plans • Identify technical teams required to achieve optimum designs to perform recovery planning in standalone and multi-tiered environments. • Perform Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to understand the consequences of disruptions on different business functions and ensure recovery efforts align with business needs. • Conducts yearly coordination plans to failover systems to customer’s disaster recovery datacenter to evaluate plan effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure readiness Position Requirements (Technical Skills): • 5+ years of experience of working with infrastructure technology • Ability to author technical documents and create work instruction manuals related to disaster recovery designs • Strong interpersonal skills, oral communication skills, and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities • Working understanding of server backup and recovery methodologies • Working knowledge of virtualized data center architecture and components • Working knowledge of network technologies • Working knowledge of Service Now • Experience with enterprise-class Infrastructure environments • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. • Ability to conduct research with application analyst for tabletop exercises • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail • Healthcare knowledge/background including data privacy practices and laws • Experience working in a cross-functional team-oriented, to develop written procedures • Other duties as assigned Position Skills: • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the infrastructure technology requirement in the technical environment and its business return • Be capable of designing tasks lists to coordinate recovery plans of complex technology solutions considering the existing technology landscape • Be capable of communicating clear plans to demonstrate to a client how they can achieve their disaster recovery objectives • Have the necessary communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients at all levels • Keep up to date with technology changes as it develops to document changes to disaster recovery plans • Act as the lead technical point for infrastructure team to communicate tasks completions during testing infrastructure DR tasks • Be capable of prioritizing workload based on client requirements Education and Experience: • Generally requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience. • 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree. #LI-KN1 Nordic is an equal opportunity employer.
