The Role As a member of the ERP Services practice, the Senior Manager, Technical - Workday responsibilities include but are not limited to working directly with Practice Directors, Practice Managers, Practice Leads, and consulting teams to assist with the leadership of one or more practice areas; supporting consultant hiring, placement, and skill development; managing practice team members, and keeping stakeholders and direct reports current on product updates and developments; upholding and promoting Nordic ERP Services strong internal culture and reputation in the Workday partner community; and working collaboratively with other leaders to ensure the quality, productivity, and success of the practice(s). Key Responsibilities The Senior Manager, Technical - Workday will have the following responsibilities, which include but are not limited to: Collaborate with ERP Services leadership to support the overall performance of the service line; supporting service line vision and initiatives, establishing goals, and reporting achievement progress Work with other business lines across Nordic to identify opportunities for collaboration and expanding our OneNordic offerings to our clients Host a regular call with the teams to include but not limited to presenting new or updated project standards and deliverables, discussing methodology practices, provide educational opportunities, share issues etc. Remain updated and informed of developments and updates pertaining to Workday products Collaborate with Nordic teams on sales enablement activities, which includes onsite presentations and proposal creation Manage, mentor and develop team; make solution-specific hiring decisions as solution and Nordic growth dictates Act as a point of escalation for team members Building strong client and consultant relationships, completing regular client and consultant check-ins, reviewing status reports and budgets, providing recommendations and best practices, and identifying and mitigating project risks Create and Monitor Project Standards and Deliverables to align with Strategic Goals Lead Discussions and Decision-Making regarding Project Standards, Quality Improvement and Change Management Provide the framework for keeping all Nordic ERP content updated, organized, and in alignment with current best practices Coordinate bench planning with Capacity Planning for assigning documentation standards updates, and presentations, to maximize availability and participate in strategic activities etc. Partnering with ERP Services leadership to support the overall performance of the service line; supporting service line vision and initiatives, establishing goals, and reporting achievement progress Perform billable consulting role. Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist in other initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 10 years of progressive, professional experience; professional services or consulting experience strongly preferred Minimum of 7 years of Workday experience, either as a consultant or as a hands-on Workday administrator Active Workday certification or 7 years of hands-on configuration experience in multiple Workday modules required Must have integration, data conversion, Financial and/or Human Capital Management (HCM) reporting experience Ability to identify, scope, estimate, and support sales opportunities Ability to develop new offerings, services, and support go-to-market strategies Prior experience managing projects and project teams Prior experience implementing, training, or supporting Workday Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Able to balance urgent, short-term needs with strategic, long-term priorities Exhibits strength in relating to people, including the ability to deliver feedback and inspire and motivate others to succeed Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting customer service commitments and project timelines Exhibits business acumen, including a basic understanding of financial metrics and how to lead a team in alignment with organizational goals Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, as well as with diverse candidates, consultants, and client bases Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment and to alter approach or method to successfully lead change; reacts well under pressure Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, computers, email, correspondence, and spreadsheets Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims ADDITIONAL DETAILS Travel up to 25% of the time, or as practice and client needs dictate #LI-AH2 Nordic is an equal opportunity employer.
