Research Associate, Corporate Relations Fundraising and Development Hybrid - Contract POSITION OVERVIEW Complete briefing papers for senior management by researching prospect company websites, SEC filings, news, and public and private databases. This research directly supports the organization’s fundraising and development division, providing insights that strengthen prospect engagement and revenue-generation strategies. RESPONSIBILITIES • Complete research briefs by profiling companies and their relationships to the organization • Analyze research and work with analysis staff to identify initiatives of interest to member and prospect companies; compile information on prospects and renewal companies • Monitor events and legislative issues; work on research projects and briefings for the president and CEO • Track trends and emerging issues across relevant industries to inform outreach, membership, and development strategy • Prepare concise summaries and presentations to support leadership decision-making and external meetings REQUIREMENTS • Degree and 2–5 years’ related work experience involving research • Working knowledge of Internet research tools; Nexis and Hoovers preferred • Excellent writing and proofreading skills • Ability to extract relevant information from a variety of sources and reach out to employees for additional details • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and work independently • Proficiency in MS Office • Fundraising experience a plus GROWTH OPPORTUNITY This role is designed to grow into a fundraising and development position, offering increasing responsibility for prospect strategy, relationship management, and revenue development initiatives as experience and performance evolve.
