Position Description: Who We Are NIP Group is a rapidly growing insurance service provider of specialty programs for commercial insurance brokers and carriers, offering underwriting, distribution, product management, administration, and risk management services. About the Position We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Account Executive, Public Entity P&C to support the profitable growth of BGIA. This role will leverage strong technical, marketing, and communication skills to help expand our footprint as both a risk manager for self-insurance pools and a public entity insurance broker. As a key member of our Public Entity team, you will play a strategic role in developing and executing BGIAs marketing initiatives, maintaining strong relationships with clients and carriers, and optimizing placement strategies for a variety of insurance programs. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Vice President, Public Entity Practice, and work across multiple lines of coverage, including Property, Cyber, Liability, and Professional Lines. This position is based in Woodbridge, NJ, with occasional overnight and regular day travel. What Youll Do Strategic Growth & Business Development • Assist the Senior Vice President (SVP) in developing and implementing profit strategies and marketing initiatives for BGIA. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through account rounding, RFP/RFQ processes, and broker-related activities. • Drive underwriting new member growth, in collaboration with the Account Manager and with strategic guidance from the SVP. Client & Market Relationship Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and key stakeholders. • Lead the marketing, placement, and servicing of Property and Cyber lines of coverage. • Support the SVP in placing Liability, Professional Lines, Excess, Umbrella Excess, Workers Compensation, Crime, and Disaster Management policies. Risk Management & Consulting • Provide risk management consulting services to public entity clients, helping them develop effective insurance and risk mitigation strategies. • Design, place, and administer insurance programs for non-risk pooling clients. • Optimize and streamline the administration of marketing, underwriting, and risk management functions. Underwriting & Stewardship • Assist in the production of annual Stewardship Reports for Joint Insurance Funds (JIF) clients. • Manage Fund member service requests, including certificates of insurance and miscellaneous service matters. • Facilitate referrals to excess underwriters for new and existing members with material exposure changes. Team Collaboration & Mentorship • Support the SVP in mentoring and developing junior team members to enhance their industry expertise and performance. • Collaborate across teams to share market intelligence and enhance BGIAs competitive positioning. What Were Looking For Education & Licenses • Current New Jersey Property and Casualty Producer License (required). • Accident and Health/Life License (preferred). • Bachelors degree or higher (preferred); a focus in accounting, marketing, finance, or insurance is a plus. • Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, CIC are highly desirable. Experience • 10-15 years of relevant industry experience. • 5+ years of experience marketing New Jersey municipal business (required). • Municipal insurance underwriting background is a major plus. Technical Skills & Competencies • Strong knowledge of insurance carriers and the marketplace, including pricing trends, specialty coverages, and key providers. • Ability to access and utilize markets to meet municipal clients specialized coverage and pricing needs in a highly competitive environment. • Expertise in alternative market products (SIRs, large deductibles, pools, RRGs, etc.). • Strong negotiation and presentation skills. • Effective project management and problem-solving abilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
