This role is based in Beaverton, Oregon at the company's Philip H. Knight Campus (PHK) and is part of the broader Employee Communications team, reporting into the Sr. Director, Global HR & Community Communications. As the Sr. Principal, Networks & Community Comms, you will lead the communications strategy for NIKE's employee resource groups at PHK and beyond, and provide executive communications support to NIKE's Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer and sit on their leadership team. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON How can we highlight NIKE's inclusive environment, one that's grounded in sport, fuels innovation and helps every teammate feel part of something bigger? In this role, you'll collaborate closely with DEI leaders to understand their communication needs, challenges and objectives. In response, you'll develop an internal communication strategy that ensures alignment with our overall corporate strategy. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor in all matters related to internal and external communication. You'll work closely with your broader team to ensure synchronization of messaging and strategic priorities. You'll lead the creation and dissemination of relevant, timely and engaging content with the ultimate objectives of ensuring every employee feels seen and bringing our values to life inside our company - curating experiences and events that foster unity, recognition and share pride in who we are and what we stand for. You'll support global corporate communications strategies/events where appropriate, manage ad-hoc communications issues and create communications plans, track timelines and manage communications budget. You'll also manage internal and external communications approval processes where appropriate. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH You will work with a variety of key stakeholders, including the Chief DEI Officer and members of the DEI team, in particular the leads for the networks and external partnerships. As a member of the broader Employee Communications team, you'll work with members of the Editorial team and the Experiences team. Employee Communications falls under Corporate Communications where you'll also collaborate with Executive Communications and Media Relations. Given the global and matrixed nature of the role, you'll likely work with other members of the Global Communications team, as needed. WHAT YOU BRING • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or related discipline preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • 10+ years of professional experience in high-profile corporate communications and/ or public relations roles, supporting globally branded organizations. We offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
